Is something missing in your writing?

Maybe you've heard about the writing concept of show vs. tell, and you're here to learn what it is or how to use it to your advantage while writing.

Or maybe you're wondering what on earth I'm even talking about. Don't worry! I've got you covered.

In this replay of the popular live Show vs. Tell Masterclass, you'll discover:
✔ What show vs. tell is
✔ Why it's so important
✔ How you can use it to improve your writing
✔ How to identify telling in your book
✔ How you can fix your manuscript if you're telling instead of showing

Showing (vs. telling) is the best way to keep your reader engaged and reading. Often showing is the difference between a reader loving your book and raving about it to all their friends and the reader setting your book down and never finishing it. That would be horrible, right?

If you want to vastly improve your writing skills by truly understanding show vs. tell and using it well to keep your reader's nose in your book, then don’t miss out! Sign up for the replay today.

Your Coach & Mentor

Melissa Frey

Hello! I'm Melissa Frey, an indie author and digital entrepreneur who helps struggling, stuck, or confused writers just like you become intuitive, aligned, and CONFIDENT authors. How? I use the concept of show vs. tell to help you transform your fiction writing and finally make progress on your manuscript. Basically, I'm here to inspire you to write your very best book!

I know just how difficult it can be to write a book when no one's shown you how before! When I first started writing (over a decade ago!), I didn't have a clue where to start. It took me nearly ten years to start unlocking the keys to finding balance in my writing — and I don't want it to take you that long. That's why I created the resources on Indie Author Learning: to help you become the confident author you were created to be!

My Story

Why show vs. tell is so important to me

When I was writing my first book, I had NO CLUE what I was doing. I wrote what came out, which was okay at the time, but I knew if I wanted my book to be the best it could be, I needed to learn more about the writing craft.

So I picked up a book about writing, and the first chapter was all about show vs. tell. And it BLEW MY MIND. I couldn't shake the concept, so I immediately incorporated it into my writing.

And guess what?

My dad, who was reading each chapter as I wrote it, started asking how my writing had improved so drastically. Just from learning and applying this one little concept!

That's why I'm so passionate about the subject. It made my writing SO MUCH BETTER, and it can make your writing better, too!
